The Coach Approach

Coaching is a powerful tool for creating and sustaining positive results in organizations and lives. This highly interactive one-day workshop provides managers and executives with coaching skills for motivating and developing employees.  Through observation, experience and practice participants will learn to:

  • Focus their listening;
  • Ask powerful questions to deepen understanding;
  • Get commitment and establish follow-through;
  • Acknowledge to build confidence and self-awareness.

Leading for Results

The focus of this seminar is to give participants new awareness of their leadership style and learn new skills for working more effectively with others.  Participants will leave the event motivated with a new appreciation of their strengths and more empathy for others. Participants will:

  • Identify unique qualities of their leadership;
  • Uncover the assumptions that get in the way of creating a high-trust team environment;
  • Become aware of and responsive to the unspoken elements of conversations and meetings;
  • Identify the value of appreciating and maximizing difference.

Work/Life Choices

The idea of “work/life balance” assumes that people must choose between a successful career and a rewarding personal life. This interactive workshop takes you beyond the zero-sum balance game and guides you to making conscious choices to create what you want in work and life. You will:

  • Identify what’s most important both at home and work;
  • Become aware of self-limiting beliefs that keep you from getting what you want;
  • Create a fulfilling vision for your career and personal life;
  • Make short-term commitments to get closer to that vision.

Leadership for Impact

This highly interactive and engaging course will introduce your team to the nuances of effective leadership through interaction, demonstration, and direct experience. A fundamental premise of the course is that understanding your impact can make the difference between moving towards a vision for your team and organization or getting stuck in a pattern of reacting to current challenges or circumstances.  After this ten-session course, participants will:

  • Identify unique qualities of their leadership.
  • Gain awareness of how to listen for and affect the mood and energy of meetings and conversations.
  • Identify their response to conflict to create more positive relationships.
  • Learn powerful new tools for coaching direct reports including giving feedback effectively.

Teams in Action

Participants explore the three critical elements of effective teams – empathy, flexibility and commitment to shared values.  With input from the planning committee and the information gathered in the team survey, we select three of the following five communication tools for the day:

  • Facilitating a culture of responsibility rather than fault-finding.
  • Uncovering the assumptions that get in the way of creating a high-trust team.
  • Becoming aware of and responsive to the unspoken elements of conversations and meetings.
  • Addressing criticism effectively to create highly generative meetings and conversations.
  • Giving feedback with truth and compassion.
